Hi everyone,
I am wondering if any university utilizes a trip insurance vendor? We've been receiving an increase of inquires due to COVID, about purchasing trip insurance should a trip need to be cancelled. Sites like expedia and American Airlines offers this at a cost, whilst our program does not.
FYI, we have International SOS for emergency management. This is more for pre-trip.

At Tulane, we don't promote trip insurance for our travelers and it's not reimbursed. Through our booking tool and TMC, we block rates and fares that are not cancelable or changeable. We can reuse cancelled flight credits and now with most fees being waived, we don't see a reason for the expense.

Thanks Laney,
That is definitely the University's current stance. We've received push back from faculty in particular to travel on grant based travel, but sometimes also pay out of pocket before the grant reimburses.
