Hi All,
Due to the pandemic, our local rental car company has shut down, which happened to be our top preferred vendor. The next closest options to campus are about 35 miles east and 35 miles north of our campus location. Since they are that far away, the option for a delivery service is not available. We do have a few Zip cars on campus, but no enough to support the volume needed. To add to this, the airport that we use most frequently is about 75 miles away from campus. Is anyone else dealing with the issue of having a campus far removed from available car options? If so, what has worked best as a solution for you?

If y'all are on the state of Ohio's contract with Enterprise/National, talk to them about setting up a location on-campus if you'll have the business to support it. We had one at FSU in a space that was originally built as a police substation and it was incredibly convenient. We had several locations in town already, but being able to leave your car in more secure parking on campus was a big plus, too. If we were further removed from other rental locations, it definitely would have gotten even more business.
