We are in the process of approving a process for long term research and sabbaticals. It is not official yet so I do not have a document to share but I can let you know the highlights of the policy as follows:

- Meal per diems
Faculty/Staff - will only reimburse up to 30 days for meal per diem
Student - no limit on meal per diem. thought was this is somewhat payment to students since they are not salaried
Lodging
Policy to only cover studio or one bedroom and should be average rental rate for that area. This addresses folks that rent out 4 or 5 bedroom homes for their family. We added the avg rental rate as a deter ant so they do not rent lavish accommodations for that area. There are websites where you can see the average rental rate.
