There has been some discussion on this topic over the the "Return to Travel" thread - you might want to check that out too.

We (Gonzaga University) are currently restricting all non essential travel - for students, faculty, staff and incoming guests. We recently finalized a request process and form for when someone needs to seek approval for 'essential' travel. I will email you that info.

We give the following guidance around being allowed to travel for the UW:

There are no restrictions on US Travel, however, we strongly encourage those who do the prior approvals in their departments to only consider this if it is essential, we don’t define essential, we are leaving it up to them.

International travel is restricted. However, for research, they can apply for a waiver. It’s all outlined here https://www.washington.edu/coronavirus/faq/#travel if you would like to read the whole of the policy.

UNC-CH is restricting travel outside the state of North Carolina without an approved exception from the Provost or Chancellor. The process to request an exception varies based on your role at the university but a list is available on our website: https://carolinatogether.unc.edu/campus-life/#chapter-7
