Good morning! I wanted to check if any institutions had recently issued an RFP for Passport/Visa Services and would be willing to share their documentation? I checked in our Member Resources and this is not one of the categories listed.

Thanks!

I asked this back in August but didn't hear from anyone. Just checking in again to see if anyone has a recently issued RFP they'd be willing to share? Thanks so much!

Passport services are not an item we manage at our University. Individuals seek their own services. Others may be in the same situation, which is why you are not receiving feedback. Good luck! Terri

In a different role at Tulane, I actually did contract with a visa service provider and received a very good discount. Currently, we send them to our TMC's service provider (if they ask), but I've been thinking doing an RFP or something a little less formal. I haven't had the time unfortunately. It's not a bad idea if you can manage it. You will likely get a better price, since the commissions paid to the TMC (I believe) will be deducted, and you can mandate that you travelers use the university's vendor for passport and visa services, another incentive for the vendor to lower the cost.

Hi Rebecca,

Michigan State University does not currently manage Passport/Visa Services but, I would be interested to learn who UNC selects.

Cheers, Ed
