Not just related to training but looking for ideas on ways that you stay in communication with your campus on all things related to your Travel & Expense program. We often find ourselves wanting to share brief pieces of information but don't have a communication tool which supports that. We can send emails, of course, but some of this information doesn't warrant an email and would likely be overlooked. In addition, we can only send an email to all campus users when it's a "Formal Notice" which most of this information does not warrant.

The reason I asked this today is because currently Concur is experiencing a degradation across all products. I'd love to put a message up somewhere to let end-users know that the system is down but have no where to do so. Is anyone using Twitter (sorry, I mean X? lol) or some other type of message board for this sort of information sharing? Any other cool tools you have found that work well? Thanks!!

Hi Rebecca, At UVA we send out a monthly T&E newsletter with all of the little bits of information in one place. Here is a link to this month's edition that went out today - https://conta.cc/3Kks7qC. We also have a systems issues button on our website where users know to look for outages.

Hi Rebecca ... Stanford has set up a SLACK travel channel that allows the travel team to post to anyone who joins the channel (approx 1600 members). (At this time, we haven't opened it up for reply posts as that requires consistent monitoring. We have a help support system for anyone that needs to reach us.) It has been very popular with campus and an efficient/timely way to communicate urgent travel info.

We use an application developed in-house that lets users subscribe to notifications for various applications and services. The app admins can then create notifications for each app that go to the users who have opted in to receive them. You could probably use a newsletter manager like Listmonk to do this.
