Hi All, I'm sure you are aware of the new CDC requirement for our international travelers returning to the US. If not, they must present a negative COVID test, taken within 24hrs of departure, or they will not be allow to board the plane: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/testing-international-air-travelers.html. Since this happened so fast, I'm suggesting that we collaborate, it's what we do best!

So far, I've added messaging to Concur and my website, but I want to supply our international travelers with the best information and tools available to help them. I'm looking for a complete list of international airports that offer testing onsite, I found one list of 16, but it's from December. I also heard some destination hotels are offering testing onsite. If any of you have additional information, please share with me and our members.

Below is the most recent communication to our senior administration. I hope it's helpful, but I don't feel completely confident that I have the best or most recent information. Please share what you are doing, I'm grateful and I know our members will be as well!

My latest email on this subject, to senior admin:
Additional research on the new CDC COVID Testing Requirements, today checked specifically for in-country testing info using this link: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/COVID-19-Country-Specific-Information.html. The link is to the travel.state.gov site for COVID-19 Country Specific Information. When you click on a specific country you are taken to the U.S. Embassy site, which has specific information on COVID related requirements, including testing sites and advise.

So far this seems to be the most helpful to obtain information on current requirements, including testing information and some embassies list the facilities/labs in-country. I checked several countries and the problem is that there can be varying testing facility information and capacities for testing, see examples below for Argentina and Botswana. I’ve included John xxxxx with Risk and Insurance Management on this email to see if our International Health Insurance would be a source for our travelers, in cases such as Botswana, where you may need to involve a physician or clinic.

Again, I’m still looking for a complete list of international airports and hotels providing testing onsite. Attached is a list of 16 that I found so far, but it's from December. I’m sure our experienced international travelers can gain access to this information as well, but some will not be as knowledgeable.

Examples from the site, with varying information:

COVID-19 Testing Botswana:

Botswana has limited testing capacity. A negative test within 72 hours is required for entry to the country, and a test on day 10 of quarantine is also required to secure release.
Testing also may be required to exit Botswana and to cross internal zones within Botswana, though the country still does not have confirmed capacity to do rapid testing, so the regulations and implementation of such regulations are still unclear at this time.
Testing regulations and information change frequently. If you are in Botswana and experiencing symptoms, contact your physician and the Government of Botswana COVID hotline at 997 for instructions.

COVID-19 Testing Argentina:
While Argentine government authorities may only test symptomatic patients, U.S. citizens may obtain COVID-19 tests at many private labs (diagnósticos/laboratorios). Appointments are generally required, and U.S. citizens must pay for the cost of their own test. The following is a non-exhaustive list of labs providing testing in the Buenos Aires area:
• Diagnostico Rossi
• Laboratorio Hidalgo
• Diagnostico Maipu
• IADT (Instituto Argentino de Diagnostico y Tratamiento)

Laney - this is great - thank you! I wish I had something to add, but instead just grabbed all your info. Our international students need to be back on campus this week, so I am hoping we aren't too affected - but I don't know. I will keep my eyes open for a comprehensive list of testing airports and post what I find. Thanks again!!

Here is a link to a PDF provided by BCD on Airport COVID-19 requirements and testing by region: onsite testing, pricing, arrival policies, etc. https://www.bcdtravel.com/what-you-need-to-know-airport-covid-19-testing/

I've added the link to my website instead of downloading the PDF, because I'm assuming BCD will be updating the PDF on their site.

Here is another resource from Delta Air Lines where you can look up testing centers by plugging in where your travelers are flying from.
