Hi all,
Florida State has a Delta SkyBonus account and we've accumulated some points that must be used by the end of the year. How do others enrolled in this program redeem their points? We have enough for a domestic ticket (or an upgrade, drink tickets, or single visit SkyClub pass), but how do you determine who gets to use it?
Thanks!

At the University of Maine System we gave these award tickets out randomly to the first ticket that qualified. Basically, we would look at the tickets over $450 that were run that day, check to see if they qualified for the award ticket and then, if they did, we would void their paid for ticket and, with their permission, issue the award ticket for them. We have also used a couple of the award tickets for travelers who have had bad luck or have been inconvenienced for some reason. We would hold the award for them to use on their next trip.

Hi Mary,
Thanks for sharing, that is actually a really great way to manage the points.

At Virginia Commonwealth University we established a program with our Global Ed Department for all of our earned airline miles/points. The points are converted to airline vouchers. The vouchers are awarded to students traveling abroad.

At the University of Colorado, we award departments vouchers for use. Typically student groups, like our Recreation Center or Medical programs. WE ask the receiving department to fill out a spreadsheet that captures use and to total cost savings that we add to our program benefits.
