Has any of our membership been successful in working with Anerican Airlines on credits issued due to COVID? The credits expire March 31, 2022.
We have been trying to use our credits towards current travel but we aren't traveling enough to utilize all of our credits.
Our airlines contract extended these to December 31, 2022! I would inquire to see if your account can do the same
We had some unused tickets that we were able to move to a Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP) with American. That extended the expiration from March 31, 2022 to December 31, 2022.
Same, ours were consolidated onto a UATP Card
American Airlines just announced that tickets purchased in 2019 will expire 3/31/22. Tickets purchased during 2020/2021 have been extended to 12/31/22 (must fly by 12/31/22, must exchange by 9/30/22
At MSU we have asked AA to move qualifying unused ticket values to a UATP, extending expiry to 12/2022. AA has not responded that they will approve this. It is my understanding that they discontinued the unused ticket UATP program (covid related) recently.

As an AAdvantage® member, if you have an original ticket issued between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2021, the value of your unused ticket can be used by September 30, 2022 for travel through December 31, 2022.*
*Change fees apply if your original ticketed travel was before March 1, 2020. Basic Economy tickets issued on or after April 1, 2021 are non-changeable.
